Nebraska will open the Big Ten season on Friday night when the Huskers welcome the Illinois Fighting Illini to Memorial Stadium. Both teams enter the game with a 3-0 record. The Huskers defeated UTEP, Colorado, and Northern Iowa in their non-conference slate, while the Illini defeated Eastern Illinois, Kansas, and Central Michigan.

Nebraska ranks 49th in total offense, averaging 421.3 yards per game and 44th in scoring offense at 34.0 points per game. Illinois ranks 79th in total offense, averaging 378.7 yards per game and 54th in scoring offense at 32.7 points per game.

One notable change for the Huskers this weekend will be on the offensive line. Right guard Micah Mazzccua has been benched, and Henry Lutovsky will start at the position.
