The Lions are set to be without their Pro Bowl center for an extended period. Frank Ragnow suffered a torn pectoral muscle during the team’s Week 3 win, Dan Campbell confirmed Tuesday.
It does not appear certain Ragnow’s season is over, and Campbell said during an appearance on 97.1’s Costa & Jansen with Heather (via ESPN.com’s Eric Woodyard) the veteran blocker wants to keep playing. Whether this is a full tear or partial tear will matter for Ragnow’s availability, but at the very least, one of the NFL’s best offensive lines will lose a key piece for an extended period.
More to come.
