For the second day in a row, McGary did not participate in practice. He is recovering from a knee injury, reported to be an MCL sprain. Talking to reporters in the locker room Wednesday, McGary said the imagery did not show anything “super bad,” and that he is day-to-day.
As a reminder, the Falcons will for sure be without center Drew Dalman Sunday. He was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week with a high ankle sprain. Ryan Neuzil is expected to be the Falcons’ starting center while Storm Norton would take over for McGary if he is not cleared by Sunday.
Also listed on the Falcons injury report was fellow offensive tackle Jake Matthews. He did not participate in Thursday’s practice but his lack of participation was not injury related, but listed as a personal matter. Matthews and his wife are expecting the arrival of their second child.
