Week 5 provides more meaningful action in the SEC, led by a showdown of top-five teams, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide. There are five other games in the SEC this week, including the Oklahoma Sooners’ trip to Auburn, Alabama, for their first road trip in conference play.
Texas quarterback Arch Manning will make his second straight start for the injured Quinn Ewers. He was good in last week’s win over Louisiana-Monroe, but he threw two interceptions in the game. Ole Miss hopes to fair better against Kentucky than Georgia did a couple of weeks ago.
Arkansas and Texas A&M will meet in Arlington for a neutral-site SEC showdown. The Razorbacks are hoping to parlay a solid performance against Auburn into another win in SEC play.
The only other SEC team in action this week is LSU, which is taking on South Alabama in Baton Rouge.
After Week 3, when we went 6-7, we returned to plus territory against the spread with a 6-4 mark in Week 4.
Where did we miss? Oklahoma plus the points vs. Tennessee, Auburn minus the points vs. Arkansas, Missouri minus the points vs. Vanderbilt and LSU minus the points vs. UCLA.
Call of the week for week 3? Bowling Green plus the points at Texas A&M.
Week 4: 6-4
Overall: 31-21

The Ole Miss Rebels are 4-0 against the spread this season and Kentucky is 3-1. The Rebels are No. 1 in the nation in points per game and points allowed per game. They’re outscoring opponents by an average of 55 to 5 this season. Though Kentucky held the Bulldogs in check a couple of weeks ago, don’t expect Ole Miss to be caught off guard.
Prediction: Ole Miss minus-16.5
