Kaleb McGary receives game designation, plus updates on Bijan Robinson, Matthew Judon

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Falcons have ruled right tackle Kaleb McGary out of Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, the organization announced Friday.

McGary suffered a knee injury in last Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs. It was reported as an MCL sprain. And though McGary told reporters in the locker room Wednesday that the imagery done on his knee did not show anything “super bad,” the Falcons kept McGary out of team practices on Wednesday and Thursday.

By Friday, McGary was a limited participant, but wasn’t to the point of being well enough to give Sunday a go.

In McGary’s spot is likely to be reserve tackle Storm Norton, who played the entire second half of last Sunday’s game in McGary’s spot. With the news on McGary’s game status known, the Falcons will officially be down two starting offensive lineman against the Saints. Drew Dalman — who suffered an ankle injury against the Chiefs — was placed on injured reserve after the game. Ryan Neuzil is expected to take the start at center.
