Head coach Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes are 3-1 through four weeks for the second time in as many seasons.
The difference from last year is that CU’s third win came in its conference opener. Not only does the victory mean more, but a magical comeback win to start Big 12 play fares much better for a team’s confidence than the blowout loss we saw last season against the Oregon Ducks.
Heading to Orlando to play the undefeated UCF Knights on Saturday, the Buffs look to continue their momentum from last week’s surreal ending against Baylor. But with the Knights sitting 3-0, including a 35-34 win over TCU, Colorado is faced with a challenging task.
Here are five things to know about UCF ahead of Colorado football’s first-ever matchup with the Knights:

It comes as no secret that UCF runs the ball, but it’s still staggering to look at the numbers. The Knights have run the ball 165 times for 1,127 yards through three games. Those are video game numbers, and they come largely because of running back RJ Harvey, although three others have over 100 rushing yards so far.
UCF likes to control time of posession

Due to their run-heavy offense, the Knights often control the game, or at least the time of possession. That can tire out opposing defenses while making offenses restless. With Colorado having made a point to control the time of possession after a weird first half against North Dakota State to begin the season, it could be a slow game in Orlando.
Lack of quarterback pressure
