First Down: Roman’s Empire
- Roman Hemby rushed 10 times for a season-high 117 yards and a touchdown. He added five receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown through the air.
- Both of his scores occurred in the second half. Midway through the third quarter, he ripped off a one-play 75-yard touchdown to tie the game at 21 apiece. The run was the longest play for the Terps this season. His touchdown catch was midway through the fourth to chip at the deficit.
- This marked the fifth multi-touchdown game of Hemby’s career and his first with both a receiving and rushing touchdown in the same game.
- The rushing score was his 19th career touchdown on the ground, tying him for 10th on Maryland’s all-time rushing touchdowns list. He’s tied with Brandon Ross (2012-15), Keon Lattimore (2004-07) and Buddy Rodgers (1994-97).
- Hemby is tied for 11th on the scrimmage touchdowns list with 22. He’s tied with Rodgers and Ed Modzelewski (1949-51).
- Hemby eclipsed the 2000-yard mark in the game. He has 2,058 rushing yards, placing him 14th on Maryland’s all-time rushing leaderboard.
- The running back has gone over 100 yards rushing for the seventh time in his career and the first time this season.

- Billy Edwards Jr. passed for 289 yards and three touchdowns against Indiana….
