What was supposed to be a juggernaut of a Miami Dolphins offense instead hasn’t scored a touchdown in their last seven quarters of football.
The injury to franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has made things look almost hopeless for the Miami offense. Neither Skylar Thompson nor Tim Boyle got the Dolphins in the end zone, prompting Mike McDaniel to name Tyler Huntley the starter for a Week 4 matchup against the Tennssee Titans.
The Miami offense will probably look a lot different with Huntley’s more mobile skillset, but a change is needed if the Dolphins want a chance at victory.
One of the most popular ways to bet on an NFL game is the anytime touchdown scorer prop. You bet on one player to score a touchdown, and if they do, you make money.
Sounds simple, right?
It’s not as easy as it seems, but it is rewarding when the player you bet does find the end zone – especially if he plays for your team.
With the Dolphins facing the Titans on Monday, we’ve highlighted one player you should bet to score a touchdown this week. Odds are courtesy of BetMGM.
Tyreek Hill anytime TD scorer: +170
Hill hasn’t been involved in the offense the last two weeks in the way he should be. Dolphins coaches are very aware of that.
Hill was the recipe for success for Miami’s offense last year, and they should be coming into this week looking to make his production a constant again. Also, +170 is a generous line for a player of Hill’s caliber even though the reason for it is obviously the Dolphins quarterback situation.
With Huntley at quarterback, Mike McDaniel will probably try to get Hill the ball with shorter yardage throws such as screen passes, slant patterns, and end-arounds out of the backfield. It’s an easy way for Huntley to get the ball out quickly to his most dangerous weapon, opening the door for Hill to make big time yards-after-catch plays which can often result in him going all the way for the score.
This combined with Hill’s constant deep threat ability make him the best option on the Dolphins for anytime touchdown.
