Seahawks Elevated LB Tyus Bowser & DT Quinton Bohanna From Practice Squad

Bowser, an eighth-year veteran who spent his entire career in Baltimore before this season, is only three years removed from being a 17-game starter who had 7.0 sacks in 2021, but since then he had battled Achilles and knee injuries that limited him to just nine games in 2022 and caused him to miss the entire 2023 season.

“He should be proud of himself,” Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said of Bowser making his debut last weekend. “It’s been a long journey coming back, getting his body ready to play. He’s worked tremendously hard. He’s in great shape. I’d say it’s a solid first start. I know there are things that he said he’s going to want to improve on, and we expect him to do so.”

Bohanna initially signed to Seattle’s practice squad prior to the season opener, was released last week, then re-signed to the practice squad on Friday. A former sixth-round pick out of Kentucky, Bohanna previously spent time with the Cowboys, Lions and Titans over the past three seasons, appearing in 27 games with 10 starts for Dallas, where current Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde was his defensive line coach.
