Titans Fans React to Monday Night's Win Over the Dolphins


NASHVILLE – Put one in the win column for the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans notched their first win of the season on Monday night against the Dolphins, and it changed the mood around the team, at least for the time being.

And, for the most part, the mood seems to have changed a bit in here as well.

Question: My first trip to Miami and my first Monday Night Football in person too. It’s been a fun trip and a neat city, but I gotta be honest that the majority of that game was a snooze-fest. Very few exciting plays and it seemed like the refs just kept interrupting the flow of the game. I thought our defense played gritty and Nick Folk was clutch (which true Titans fans can appreciate not being let down by the kicker). I’m really torn because Levis’s raw talent could be huge long term and his development is important, but it sure seems like we would be 3-1 right now with the steady operation and ball control that Rudolph brings. Do you think “win now” or “develop Levis” is this staff’s priority? I’m not sure “both” is a truthful answer.

Jim: Glad you were there to see it, Chris. I admit, it wasn’t pretty. But I think everyone would rather win ugly that lose pretty. The Titans did on Monday night what they should have done against the Bears – play conservative with the lead, don’t make mistakes, and let the defense win it. Maybe it was a lesson learned? As for what happens at quarterback, Coach Brian Callahan was pretty clear when asked about the plan moving forward – if Will Levis is healthy, he’ll be the team’s starter.
