C.J. Stroud lives for the moments where he gets to be the hero.
On Sunday, that’s exactly what happened.
Stroud connected with Dare Ogunbowale for a 1-yard touchdown pass with 18 seconds remaining to help the Houston Texans secure a 24-20 win over AFC South foe Jacksonville. He completed 27-of-40 passing for a season-high 345 yards and two touchdowns.
Sunday marked the first time he went over 300 yards in 2024. Stroud also found Nico Collins 12 times for 151 yards and a 3-yard touchdown.
“He always gives me confidence, just like I give him,” Stroud said of Collins. “He’s just a heck of a player. I’m proud of him.”
