Kyle McCord has been red-hot for the Orange offensively this season. Just four games into his time at Syracuse, McCord has become the first player in school history to throw for 300 or more yards in four consecutive games. McCord is already one of just six quarterbacks in Syracuse history to record three or more 300-yard passing performances in their career. The trip to Sin City will be Syracuse’s first road test of the season after playing each of its first four games at the JMA Wireless Dome. First-year head coach Fran Brown will look to pick up his second win over a ranked opponent. Syracuse has not defeated two ranked opponents in a season since the 2001 team beat No. 5 Virginia Tech and No. 25 Boston College. UNLV is off to a 4-0 start to the season with wins over Power 4 opponents Houston and Kansas. The Rebels are ranked in the AP Poll for the first time since becoming a Division I program in 1978.
