The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t disappoint on “Thursday Night Football,” and the New Orleans Saints benefited from it. Tampa Bay blew a 30-27 fourth-quarter lead by allowing a last-second Atlanta field goal, and the Falcons got the ball first in overtime. A couple of plays later Kirk Cousins threw the game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge, sealing their 36-30 victory.
Which shook up the NFC South standings, at least at the top. The Saints still have some work to do to retake the division but things just got much more manageable with the Bucs choking so badly. Here’s how the NFC South stacks up going into Sunday’s slate, and the Saints’ Monday night game with the Kansas City Chiefs:
