Best and worst performers from Week 5 win vs. Bills

The Houston Texans kept their winning ways alive, securing a 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 5. C.J. Stroud threw for 331 yards and a touchdown and Ka′imi Fairbairn’s game-winning 59-yard field goal as time expired lifted Houston to a 4-1 start.

Nico Collins and the defense were the headlines, but one for the wrong reason. Collins, who leads the NFL with 567 receiving yards, left the game following a 67-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter with a hamstring injury.

The defense allowed two touchdowns, but it also forced a three-and-out on the final drive deep in the Bills’ end zone, thus leading to a punt.

Pro Football Focus handed out player grades for those who took a snap in Houston’s win against Buffalo and we broke them down by offense and defense. Below are the five highest and lowest grades on both sides after a surprising yet much-needed win to begin the month of October.

There were few surprises in terms of the highest- and lowest-graded players, both on offense and defense. In fact, most of you can already guess who graded out stellar and horrendous fashion.
