“With tonight’s 26-13 victory vs. New Orleans, the Chiefs have opened the season with five straight wins. This marks the club’s 12th consecutive season with a winning streak of at least five games at any point during the regular season. Since Head Coach Andy Reid’s arrival in 2013, the club has had streaks of nine straight wins in 2013, five straight in 2014, 10 straight in 2015, five straight in 2016, five straight in 2017, five straight in 2018, six straight in 2019, 10 straight in 2020, eight straight in 2021, two separate five-game streaks in 2022 and a six-game streak in 2023. Since the merger, no other NFL team has had more than seven consecutive seasons with at least a five game win streak (Indianapolis, 2003-09; San Francisco, 1989-95).”
