Steelers open as slight favorites in Las Vegas

For those who have been watching the Raiders all season like I have, you might have thought the Steelers would be overwhelming favorites in Las Vegas this Sunday. They are favorites, though perhaps not as much as you might have thought.

The Steelers open the week as three-point favorites over the Raiders with an over/under of 36.5 combined points.

This could be because after the Steelers began the season 3-0, they have now lost two straight. Putting them just one game better than the Raiders.

Steelers fans are expected to be well represented in the stands at Allegiant as well, so there is unlikely to be a real home field advantage for the Raiders.

Two of the three teams the Steelers have beaten this season are AFC West teams — the Chargers and Broncos — both of whom the Raiders have lost to this season.

The Steelers have the league’s second ranked defense and their +4 turnover differential is tied for fifth best in the league.
