Texas A&M football transfer departures stats for Week 7 of 2024 season

Texas A&M’s 2024 season has been successful thus far. The Aggies are on a five-game winning streak after falling to Notre Dame in Week 1. One of the biggest reasons for the current success has been the play of the offseason transfer portal additions, led by defensive end Nic Scourton and cornerback Will Lee III.

With the bye week ending, the Aggies will shift their focus to Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are coming off a close road loss to Georgia, showing life on offense behind electric freshman quarterback Michael Van Buren. Under former head coach Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M has consistent issues defeating both Mississippi schools, something new head coach Mike Elko would like to put to rest on Saturday.

Under Elko, the Aggies improved on both sides of the ball through six games. The return of starting quarterback Conner Weigman has jolted the passing game, leading to even more success on the ground. However, A&M’s secondary will need to be ready for the Bulldogs’ quick passing game, which averaged over 14 yards per reception against Georgia in the second half of Saturday’s loss.

Looking across the rest of what was an exciting Week 7 slate, several former Aggies, including Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart, stood out in winning efforts. Here is how most of the A&M’s offseason transfers fared this weekend.
