Despite a five-year gap between the last two times the Bears have played in London, the team has remained committed to expanding their presence and growing the game in the United Kingdom, specifically through Mini Monsters.
Earlier this year, receiver DJ Moore traveled to Manchester with Silva to help conduct clinics. In June 2023, the Bears brought 13 clinics across six cities in the UK and in 2022, Mini Monsters held 13 clinics in eight UK cities.
Tillman, who experienced his first UK Mini Monsters clinics last week, was excited to help the Bears continue their efforts across the pond.
“When you think about sports in general, the number one sport in the world is soccer because it’s readily available to kids around the world,” Tillman said. “You don’t have to have a ton of equipment. You can find anything like a ball to kick around and work on your skills. I love what the NFL, specifically, is doing by having these games in Europe, Brazil, South America. I like that they’re trying to globalize this game.
“I love the Mini Monsters Clinics. We’re bringing our customs and our sport, and just inviting it and sharing it with our friends across the pond.”
