Tech jumped out to a 28-0 lead at halftime, but the Eagles clawed back to make it a one-score game at 28-21. However, the Hokies got back their mojo and went on to win 42-21 behind Bhayshul Tuten‘s four touchdowns.
Tech finished with over 500 yards on offense, thanks to Tuten’s school-record 266 rushing yards. Defensively, the Hokies racked up seven TFLs, four sacks and three forced fumbles.
The Hokies will face Georgia Tech next, playing on Saturday, Oct. 26 at noon ET in Lane Stadium on ACC Network for Homecoming. The game is sold out, but fans can purchase tickets on SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of Virginia Tech Athletics.
