Saturday night’s win over Iowa was arguably Jonathan Smith’s biggest win as head coach of the Spartans. It’s at least in the conversation with his team’s win on the road over Maryland (winning in the Big Ten on the road is never easy, just ask Iowa). I would also argue that the Spartans’ 12-point win over Iowa on Homecoming was one of the first defining culture wins of this new MSU program.
