The Third Saturday in October may have been a disappointing day for fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide, but it sure delivered one of the most entertaining weekends of the year. The title of the No. 1 team in the country continues to bounce around as the former top-ranked Longhorns fell to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs in their first real SEC test.
With just six weeks remaining in the season, the chaos is only going to heighten from here. The upcoming Week 9 slate features five ranked matchups as well as a fight for the top spot in the SEC with LSU and Texas A&M, both undefeated in SEC play squaring off.

Ohio State controls their path to the Big Ten title and playoffs with games against Penn State and Indiana so it’s hard for me to imagine them not making the final 12. They do still have to prove they can get by Michigan at the end of the year, but I think it could get quite lopsided this year.
