Allen turned in a vintage performance, turning in his first 300-yard passing performance of the season, passing for a total of 323 yards and two touchdowns.
“He’s done so many things,” CB Taron Johnson said. “I’ve been on this team the whole time he’s been on here, so it’s my expectation. I’m not surprised because he’s been doing it for so long at this point. So, he just keeps making plays. I’m happy he’s my quarterback.”
Newly acquired WR Amari Cooper had his first opportunity to play alongside Allen and said that he was impressed with his play.
“It was very impressive,” Cooper said. “He’s a great player. Had the opportunity to watch him, obviously through the television, for quite some time now. He’s had his hundredth start today, seems like he had a hundred amazing performances, so I guess this was no different. He went out there, he did his thing like he usually does, but he’s a phenomenal player, for sure.”
