What we learned from Titans’ 34-10 loss to Bills

If you watched Mason Rudolph play when he was with the Pittsburgh Steelers, you know that his performance on Sunday is not an example of what he is capable of. Much of that has to do with the offense that Brian Callahan is running and the plays he is calling, which also applies to Will Levis. And even though we’re learning that Levis might not be as awful as we thought he was, Rudolph still proved on Sunday that he is the better quarterback.

Rudolph doesn’t panic in the pocket, and the reason he went 25-for-40 through the air is largely because he was forced to throw balls he didn’t want to throw. And a lot of that happened in the second half after the Bills made adjustments and the Titans didn’t. He took three sacks yesterday, which is uncharacteristic of him, so imagine what Levis would have done in Rudolph’s shoes?

Levis still isn’t ready for the starting role if he doesn’t belong in a game against one of the NFL’s top teams. Let him sit back and watch, keep him healthy and ready for next season if you truly want him as your franchise quarterback.
