The St. Louis Battlehawks are going to be playing on some fresh turf at The Dome this upcoming UFL season. It’s been a long time coming, but The Dome at America’s Center has finally put down new turf, and also has installed new LED lights that will bring a more modern feel to the stadium.

One of the largest drawbacks to The Dome the past couple of years in the XFL and UFL has been the turf. It was very old and worn down, which in turn looked poor on broadcasts. While St. Louis has one of the best atmospheres in all of spring football, these newest updates will only elevate that experience moving forward.
For comparison, here’s what the old lights and turf looked like. You can see the hash marks, numbers and lines (not always straight) on the field. @kmoxnews @KMOXSports pic.twitter.com/2bHzHP6En9

The Dome at America’s Center has been a big part of spring football for years. It’s been the home for the St. Louis Battlehawks since 2020, and also hosted this past UFL Championship between the Birmingham Stallions and San Antonio Brahmas.
It’s great to see The Dome investing into these areas that will no doubt improve the overall experience in the UFL. The Battlehawks average over 35,000 fans a game, and odds are we could see even more turn out next season with some of these updates to the venue. Additionally, those watching at home will see more pleasant colors on their TV screens. All around, this move is a win-win for the UFL and its fans.
