Throughout the course of the Ohio State football season, we like to keep an eye on what the ESPN computers say about the Buckeyes’ chances of winning each of its remaining games. It’s one thing to get a look at what the bleeps and bloops of the computer say before the season begins, and now that we have some significant game film to look at for all of the opponents, there’s some actual concrete data to go by.
Even more as the weeks pass by, now beyond the halfway point of the season.
Ohio State hasn’t looked its best over the last two games. First, there was the heartbreaking loss at Oregon, then this past week, the Buckeyes had to hold off (exhale) a Nebraska team that had just had its big boy college football card revoked by Indiana.
This season was devoid of too many surprises, but Ohio State’s performance has surely changed what the ESPN “supercomputer” says about the chances of it winning each of its remaining games so, here we are to take a look at where the trends are heading.
Do the computers still believe the Buckeyes can get past all of the rest of its remaining opponents? What about the trip into Happy Valley to play Penn State this weekend? Oh, and don’t forget about upstart Indiana, and of course — Michigan?
