Rourke was outstanding as Ohio’s signal caller for three years, but there was the stigma of playing lower-level schools in the MAC while in a QB-friendly system. The 6-foot-5 Canadian moved to Indiana and got better while playing much better Big Ten defenses, albeit still in a very QB-friendly scheme. Size, mobility, pinpoint accuracy and toughness are Rourke’s standout traits. If he handles challenges vs. Michigan and Ohio State this month, expect to see Rourke bandied about as a first-rounder even though he just turned 24 and could also very well be the first pick in the CFL draft.
