Week 10 Preview: Six League Games Set for Saturday Slate


CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference will feature six league games on Saturday, November 2, beginning with a trio of games at noon ET and culminating with a top-20 matchup in primetime at 8 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
 
All four of the ACC’s nationally ranked teams will be in action this week, as No. 5 Miami will host Duke (noon ET, ABC) and No. 11 Clemson will face off with Louisville (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN) in Memorial Stadium. Saturday’s action will conclude with a pivotal ACC matchup in Dallas between No. 18 Pitt and No. 20 SMU at 8 p.m. ET on ACC Network.

Duke has won three of the last five meetings against Miami, including a 45-21 win in Miami Gardens, Florida, in the last meeting between the two teams in 2022. Duke is playing its second straight game against a ranked opponent, falling to No. 22 SMU in overtime last week. The Blue Devils’ last win over a ranked team came against No. 9 Clemson on September 4, 2023. Duke leads the nation with 10 fumbles recovered this year, no other ACC team has recovered more than seven. Duke also ranks second in takeaways with 19.
 
Miami has been productive offensively and leads the country with 226 first downs and 46.8 points per game. In fact, the Hurricanes have scored in every quarter of each of their eight games this season. The Hurricanes also boast the No. 2 passing offense, averaging 366.8 yards per game through the air. Miami QB Cam Ward ranks in the top 10 nationally in nearly every passing category, including second among FBS players with 24 passing touchdowns and 2,746 passing yards. Ward is closing in on becoming the first Miami quarterback since 2017 to pass for 3,000 yards in a single season.
