Louisville’s Ashton Gillotte celebrates getting a sack against Boston College Saturday afternoon in L & N Stadium.
Sept. 23, 2023
At 6’3″, 275 pounds, Gillotte is a versatile piece along the defensive line who can play off the edge or scoot inside. However, the senior has played almost exclusively on the edge this season for one simple reason: he’s been on a tear.
Gillotte has produced five or more pressures in each of his last three games despite only racking up one sack in those contests. That will be the main knock on him as a prospect—his ability to finish sacks is still developing, and many of his pressures come late as a result of his high motor. But the senior is a strong run defender, something the Chargers need dearly on the outside, and could be a mid-round option for Los Angeles to supplement their pass rush room.
When: Louisville travels to Clemson at 4:30 pm PT on ESPN.
