Before he fielded a single question on Saturday evening following the Oregon Ducks’ 38-17 win over the Michigan Wolverines, coach Dan Lanning said a few words about quarterback Dillon Gabriel.
“Everyone in the nation needs to recognize the type of quarterback that we have,” Lanning said. “He’s a really, really special player. He extended some plays. I am really proud of his performance tonight and really proud of this team.”
Despite his 294-yard, two-touchdown performance in The Big House, Gabriel’s Heisman Trophy betting odds worsened. While Dillon entered Week 10 as the betting favorite, that has changed in the wake of Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Travis Hunter having solid days, according to BetMGM.
There is still a bunch of football to be played, so the odds for the Heisman right now will not look anything like they will at the end of the year, but here’s where everyone stands, according to BetMGM, heading into Week 10.
