Derek Carr did not seem ready to come back from his oblique injury just yet, as he struggled immensely to push the ball down the field for most of the game and was inefficient at best. His passes lacked anticipation, and that is why he ultimately went 18 for 31 (58% completion rate), for 236 passing yards and 1 touchdown. He was not significantly better than Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler, and while he did have a few positive plays, looking that poor against a previously 1-7 Carolina Panthers team is tough.
