Head coach and offensive play-caller Dave Canales tried to use too much spice on the Saints defense. Rather than keeping it simple and efficient, he made the outing rougher on his offense than it should have been—proving to be overly creative on his decisions and designs.

The passing attack involved too many targets near the line of scrimmage. And once again, he shied away from the run at times—even when it was working.
