Tight end David Njoku might be a surprise addition to the list. However, the tight end has top-tier tools that are rare at the position, has proven to be the best tight end in football after the catch after leading the NFL in YAC a year ago, and more importantly: he’s a foundational locker room guy.
Njoku has done everything the right way the past half-decade. He has been the epitome of putting your head down and getting to work despite poor circumstances after the team signed Austin Hooper in 2020. It would send an inferior message to the locker room, and it’s a great way to make the other foundational players within the organization completely upset.
