GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators punter Jeremy Crawshaw was named one of the Ray Guy Award’s “Ray’s 8” for week ten, highlighting his outstanding efforts during the Gators’ contest against Georgia.
Crawshaw was called on to punt a season-high eight times against the Bulldogs, landing four of those punts inside of the UGA 20-yard line, five for over 50 yards, and totaled a monumental 393 punt yards.
In the 2024 season, Crawshaw is responsible for 34 punts through Florida’s eight contests, going for 1,597 total punt yards. His 46.97-yard average ranks 11th in FBS this season, while his 44.7-yard net ranks fourth among players with multiple punts.
This is Crawshaw’s fourth “Ray’s 8” honor of the season, making him one of just three punters in the nation with four such selections.
2024 is Crawshaw’s fifth season with Florida and fourth as the Gators’ starting punter. The 2023 campaign saw Crashaw set career and single season program records in career average yards per punt (46.7) and single-season yards per punt (48.9). He was named to the AP All-SEC Second-Team at the end of last season. Crashaw also earned preseason honors from CFN, Athlon Sports, Sporting News and Phil Steele.
Ray’s 8 honors eight punters weekly who had the best punting performance over the weekend. A fan vote will determine the winner of the weekly award. Crawshaw was Honored as the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week on October 9, following Florida’s win over UCF. Florida fans can vote for Crawshaw to win Punter of the Week at this link.
