St. Louis Battlehawks Sign Former Bears TE Chase Allen

New Orleans Breakers Sign Draft Pick CB Tyler Baker-Williams

The St. Louis Battlehawks made another addition to their TE room on Tuesday, signing free agent Chase Allen – an exciting young prospect with plenty of upside for this scene.

Chase played the entirety of his college football at Iowa State. He was primarily a rotational piece during his first couple of seasons, but worked his way into a starting role down the stretch of his collegiate career.

Across his final two seasons, Allen had 520 receiving yards and four touchdowns, which earned him Second Team All-Big 12 honors both years.

This led to an NFL opportunity with the Chicago Bears. Allen signed to Chicago as an UDFA in 2022, and remained with the team for over a year. During the 2022 season, Chase was active for one game with the Bears.

However, in 2023, he was waived from the injured reserve list, and has since remained a free agent. Now, he’ll look to get his professional career off the ground in the UFL, with the St. Louis Battlehawks.

This is another solid addition made by Anthony Becht and Dave Boller in St. Louis. Allen is a big-bodied TE who is clearly versatile, and should fit into this offense quite well. Becht, a former NFL TE himself, takes pride in the talent that St. Louis rosters at the position. Allen joins a room that already features the likes of Jake Sutherland and Kemari Averett; who proved their worth to the Battlehawks effectively in 2024.
