Updated Saints season predictions at midseason

We are officially at the midpoint of the 2024 regular season and the New Orleans Saints are currently sitting at 2-7 after firing their head coach Dennis Allen on Monday. The season has obviously turned for the worst as no one would have predicted, but there’s hope in a fresh start after consecutive underwhelming seasons.

With special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi being called up to be the Saints interim head coach, there’s a confidence in him coming from the players that he will be able to get the most out of them. Rizzi is one of the most respected coaches in the league and brings a ton of energy to the team. We can expect the vibe around this team to be much different as he’s now the guy commanding the room. Atlanta is coming off of a convincing win against Dallas, sitting comfortably atop of the South. I can see the Saints come out fiery on the defensive side of the ball, even with injuries in the secondary. We’re taking the Saints here to shock Atlanta in the dome.

Prediction: Win (3-7)

This could potentially be a humbling game for the Saints as they face a very talented offensive line. With Nick Chubb back in the fold, there’s the potential for the Saints to get gashed in this game. Not to…
