Two more players agreed to terms with the UFL on Wednesday. The San Antonio Brahmas re-signed TE Alize Mack, while the DC Defenders signed free agent OT Darrell Simpson.

Alize Mack | San Antonio Brahmas
The Mack Truck is back. Alize Mack returns for a third season with the San Antonio Brahmas, and will look to see an increased role as a receiving TE, with Cody Latimer having officially retired.

Mack was with San Antonio during the XFL’s 2023 campaign, with Hines Ward at the helm. That year, he recorded 230 yards and a touchdown – which earned him an NFL opportunity with the Tennessee Titans.
Mack re-signed with the Brahmas ahead of the merger, and was one of the few Brahmas players who was retained by Wade Phillips & Co. when they took over in the UFL. This season, Mack caught just eight passes for 58 yards, but did score two touchdowns.

With Latimer having joined the squad, Alize wasn’t utilized much as a pass catcher. He did see quite a bit of action as a blocker, though, and should see a bigger role in the receiving game moving forward. San Antonio also rosters Matt Seybert, the former Pittsburgh Maulers TE who was acquired this offseason.
Darrell Simpson | DC Defenders
The DC Defenders have begun to address their offensive line – one of the largest offseason needs for this organization. They recently signed Tykeem Doss, and now bring in OT Darrell Simpson who is fresh off an NFL stint with the Baltimore Ravens.
