Question: A lot of things happened on Saturday, from the win over Michigan to the injuries that stemmed from it. What was your biggest takeaway from the day?

If I’m being honest, what I will remember most from this game is Dan Lanning’s latest viral coaching move — calling a timeout late in the game just so his team could sit back and watch as the Michigan fans left the stadium in defeat. Other than that, though, the injuries are definitely the biggest takeaway. If the Ducks’ championship season is to continue, some guys are going to need to step up.

Missing Tez is a big deal and thankfully his injury isn’t as serious as once first thought. But it was good to see other step up in his absence like Traeshon Holden. We all said this receiver room is deep and talented. We’re going to find out how deep and talented it really is.

In the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game, when Oregon was leading 31-17, I found myself thinking that the Ducks weren’t playing well. In reality, they were playing great, they had just made a few mistakes I didn’t expect them to make. But the feeling I had signaled to me the potential this team has. If the Ducks leading the defending champs by two scores leaves something to be desired, this team is operating at a truly high level, and there is no limit to what they can achieve.
