TRADITIONAL TEAMS
*Two traditional powerhouse teams duke it out in a historic setting at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
*USC and Nebraska, both in the hunt for bowl eligibility, will face off on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Los Angeles at 1 p.m. PT.
*The game will be broadcast nationally on FOX.
*Saturday’s game is also USC’s 101st Homecoming Weekend, welcoming back Trojan alumni to campus.
*USC has won 11 national championships, Nebraska 5.
*USC has appeared in an unprecedented 33 Rose Bowls where it has a 25-8 mark (.758) (not including 1 appearance and 1 loss later vacated due to NCAA penalty; original record: 34 Rose Bowls, 25-9, .735). That is not only the most Rose Bowl wins of any team, but also the most wins by a school in a single bowl. Nebraska has been in the Rose Bowl 4 times and is 0-4.
*Both schools have produced Heisman Trophy winners (USC has 8 [the most of any college football program], Nebraska 3).
*The Trojans claim 176 All-American first teamers, while the Cornhuskers have 110.
*USC has 879 all-time wins with a .694 winning percentage, while Nebraska boasts 922 all-time wins with a .678 winning percentage. (Not including USC’s 14 wins and 1 loss vacated due to NCAA penalty; original record: 893, .696.)
WASHINGTON GAME RECAP
*USC fell 21-26 to Washington on the road at Husky Stadium in Seattle in an emotional loss.
*All 4 of USC’s losses have been within 1 score (1 point versus Maryland, 3 points versus Michigan and Penn State, 5 points versus Washington and 7 points versus Minnesota), and all have been within the last minute of regulation play or in overtime.
*QB Miller Moss went 30-of-50 (.600) for 293 yards and 2 TD with 3 INTs.
*RB Woody Marks led the Trojans with 22 carries for 123 yards and 1 TD.
*WR Zachariah Branch led the Trojans in receiving yards with 102 on 6 receptions.
*In USC’s second offensive series, Moss was picked off after a ball intended for WR Kyle Ford was tipped into the hands of Washington LB Carson Bruener, which ended up resulting in a Husky field goal. Washington RB Jonah Coleman rushed for a 19-yard TD to close out the first quarter.
