For about 48 minutes on Thursday night, the Washington Commanders led the Philadelphia Eagles. However, when Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts scored from one yard with 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Eagles had their first lead at 12-10 and would score two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to blow past Washington for a 26-10 victory.
The win is Philly’s sixth straight, and the Eagles improved to 8-2, increasing their NFC East lead to 1.5 games. Washington falls to 7-4, suffering its second consecutive loss. It’s the first losing streak of the Dan Quinn era.
- Jayden Daniels struggled again, completing 22 of 32 passes for 191 yards, with a touchdown and interception. This was four days after completing 17 of 34 passes for 202 yards. Daniels missed several routine throws and his legs weren’t a factor either.
- Terry McLaurin had two targets, with one reception for 10 yards.
- Brian Robinson Jr. was strong in his return, rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown. Austin Ekeler made his impact as a receiver, catching eight passes for 89 yards.
- Zach Ertz caught six passes for 47 yards and a touchdown in his return to Philadelphia.
- The Commanders converted on just three of 12 third downs, a far cry from their success a few weeks ago.
- The defense held up well for three quarters. Unfortunately, they received little help from the offense and wore down in the final quarter.

Head coach Dan Quinn went for it on fourth-and-2 with about eight minutes remaining in the game, and the team was down just 12-10. Daniels ran around the right end but was met by multiple Eagles for no gain. Had Quinn kicked the field goal, it would have been a 43-yarder and given the Commanders the lead. Any remaining bit of momentum was lost here.
- RB Brian Robinson Jr: 16 carries, 63 yards, one touchdown
