He is one of those players who wears a lot of hats and can do so many things for this defense. Since joining the Lions in 2021, he is one-of-six NFL players to total at least 375 tackles, 20 pass defenses, 20 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and two interceptions.
He had five tackles, including a tackle for loss, against the Jaguars Sunday before suffering the injury when he and Brian Branch collided making a tackle.
Anzalone has 56 tackles, six tackles for loss, a sack and four passes defended this season. A six-to-eight-week prognosis would allow him to return to the lineup at the end of the regular season right in time for a playoff run.
