PULLMAN, Wash. (November 21, 2024) – Washington State Football’s Hudson Cedarland and Soccer’s Reese Tappan were each named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for October 2024.
Cedarland, a redshirt-sophomore from Port Orchard, Wash., has produced a 3.79 GPA while majoring in business. Cedarland has volunteered to work with the WSU ROAR program and helps lead bible study groups. On the field, Cedarland has appeared one game, playing special teams in the win at Fresno State and helped WSU to an 8-2 overall record. Last season, Cedarland appeared in all 12 games, was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll.
Tappan, a senior from Newcastle, Wash., owns a 3.38 GPA while majoring in human resource management and will graduate this December. This past season, Tappan was named a team captain prior to the season and was recently named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team after recording seven points including two goals and three assists.
