Top stories, headlines for November 20

The Kansas City Chiefs are returning to practice today to prepare for a trip down south to visit the Carolina Panthers in Week 12.

The end of their nine-game win streak in Sunday’s tilt against the Buffalo Bills should give the defending Super Bowl champions plenty of motivation to “get right” against Carolina over the weekend.

It will be critical for the Chiefs to earn a win over the Panthers while the Bills are on bye this week. Kansas City has a slight lead over Buffalo for the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, and a loss in Carolina would give the Bills the top spot.

While the Chiefs remain in first place, the loss to Buffalo may prove to be an effective wake-up call for Kansas City.
