Clemson, ranked No. 16 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, needs the Miami Hurricanes to fall to either Wake Forest or at Syracuse in their final two games, or the first-place SMU Mustangs to lose to both Virginia and California to get to the ACC title game in Charlotte on Dec. 7.
The Citadel is coming off a 30-17 win at Wofford. The Bulldogs are 5-6 overall and 3-5 in the FCS Southern Conference.
Clemson leads the all-time series vs. The Citadel, 33-5-1. The Bulldogs’ last win in the series was back in 1931. Dabo Swinney is 3-0 against The Citadel in his career as Tigers head coach.
