GAME STORYLINES
- Pitt concludes its 2024 regular season on the road at Boston College. The Panthers make their first visit to Chestnut Hill since 2020.
- A victory in the regular-season finale would bolster Pitt’s postseason resume and give the Panthers an eighth victory on the year.
- Since 1990, Pitt has won at least eight games 11 times. Among Pitt head coaches during that span, Pat Narduzzi has the most eight-win seasons with five.
- The Panthers have been fixtures in the opposing backfield. Pitt ranks fourth nationally with an average of 8.4 tackles for loss per game.
- Linebacker Kyle Louis, a highly credentialed All-America candidate, ranks sixth nationally with an average of 1.4 tackles for loss per game.
- Louis has 15.5 total tackles for loss, which ranks first among FBS linebackers.
- Louis is the first Pitt linebacker to intercept four passes in a season since 2004. The last Pitt linebacker with five picks? Sal Sunseri in 1980.
- Desmond Reid ranks fifth nationally in all-purpose yards (150.90 per game).
- With a team-high 97 tackles, safety Donovan McMillon is poised for a second consecutive 100-tackle season, a feat last achieved at Pitt by linebacker Scott McKillop in 2007-08.
- Boston College defensive coordinator Tim Lewis starred at cornerback for Pitt from 1979-82. Lewis (Green Bay) was one of three Pitt players selected in the 1983 NFL Draft’s first round, joining Dan Marino (Miami) and Jimbo Covert (Chicago).
