Freedom has been in the spring football scene for the last three years. He kicked off his career in the USFL, with the Philadelphia Stars. That year, he was a part of a Championship squad that came up just short against Birmingham. Freedom posted 23 tackles and 3.5 sacks with the Stars.

From there, Freedom made the jump to the XFL, with the St. Louis Battlehawks. He started in one game, but saw action in all ten – totaling 14 tackles and a sack in Battlehawk blue that season.
Akinmoladun was retained by St. Louis during the USFL-XFL merger process, and ended up earning a starting role defensively in 2024. Freedom once again compiled 14 tackles, starting in nine of 10 games played this past campaign.

Now, Freedom will look to run it back with this St. Louis squad, which isn’t a surprise given his large role in 2024. Akinmoladun spent a couple of years in the NFL with the Giants, Bengals, Titans, and Jets – with five tackles to his name at that level.
