Iowa has been blessed with linebacker play over the last decade. The latest duo of Jay Higgins and Nick Jackson were one of the best duos, if not the best, in America.

Higgins leaves Iowa with 336 career tackles, eight pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and five interceptions. Jackson finishes his career with 545 tackles, 17 pass deflections, 17 sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception.

The question now turns to how Iowa replenishes the linebackers and reloads. But, this question has been asked before. How can Iowa reload after Josey Jewell? How can Iowa reload after Jack Campbell? They will find a way.
