And just like that, the air has been taken out of Ohio State’s season. Another crushing loss to The Team Up North leaves players, coaches, and fans in a fury of emotion. This one stings a bit more seeing how the Buckeyes had every goal on the table while facing an inferior opponent and couldn’t get it done. It’s a sick feeling for all of Buckeye Nation.
However, the sun came up the next morning, although it may not look as bright to some. Ohio State can still salvage the season with a national championship. Fortunately for Ryan Day, none of the teams he’ll face won’t be wearing the winged helmet, but even if they can pull off what seems like an improbable task at this point, it just won’t feel the same with a loss to the arch-rival.
Ethier way, the Buckeyes will be playing in the College Football Playoff, most likely hosting a home game. Until then, we’ll take a look at

What we think
A three-loss Alabama team has a lifeline. The narrative that the SEC is just so superior to all others may very well get them into the College Football Playoff. The Tide goes as Jalen Milroe goes. Could he lead them all the way? Absolutely. Does Alabama deserve to be there with losses to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma? We don’t think so.
