Maitre played the majority of his college football at Boston College. Across that span, Jason totaled 133 tackles, three interceptions, and four sacks. Maitre was moved around between corner and safety with Boston, but decided to transfer to Wisconsin for his final season of eligibility.

Jason started in nine of 12 games for the Badgers at nickel, posting 33 tackles, and interception, and three PBUβs in 2023.
This led to some NFL interest for Jason, signing with the Dolphins as an UDFA. Maitre was with the team this past preseason, but was let go during cutdowns. Jason had seven tackles with Miami across three games. Most recently, he had a workout with the Washington Commanders.

At 5β10β, 180 lbs., Jason is on the smaller side for a defensive back. That said, his aggressive and quick play translated into quite a bit of success at the collegiate level. Now, heβll look to get his pro career off the ground in the UFL, with the Memphis Showboats.
General Manager Jim Monos has slowly but surely been turning over this roster. Just last week, the Showboats cut seven defensive players β clearing space for the new signings….
