EDGE Garrett Nelson
Nelson was an offseason addition for the Brahmas this past offseason, joining San Antonio during the USFL-XFL merger. Garrett proved to be an important piece defensively, despite not making any starts. Garrett posted 13 tackles, two TFL’s, and 2.5 sacks with San Antonio in 2024.
Nelson was one of the highest graded players in San Antonio by PFF, with a Defensive Grade of 86.0. He was a tremendous pass rusher, with an 82.2 grade in that category. Garrett struggled with penalties to begin the year, but once he cleaned those up, he was one of the top edge rushers in the UFL.
