Despite a loss, Kene Nwangwu ended up a winner in the end.
The NFL has announced that the New York Jets kick returner has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week following his teamβs 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13.
Nwangwu was making his debut in New York against Seattle and his impact was felt. Nwangwu ripped off a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown:

Nwangwuβs return for a score was the first of those the Jets have had in three seasons. Nwangwu has returned four kicks for touchdowns over the course of his career.
In addition to Nwangwuβs TD, he also forced a fumble on special teams against the Seahawks.
While the Jets (3-9) have had a brutal go of it in recent weeks, the team certainly won the special teams battle against Seattle⦠mainly because of Nwangwu.
